Part 1

🚨 **My Grandfather’s Caretaker Fought Me Over His Wheelchair — Then a Beep Revealed Her Chilling Secret.**

Leo watched a strange woman roughly pulling his frail grandfather from a wheelchair in the parking lot. He stepped in, convinced she was abusing him.

The woman panicked, insisting Leo must not put him back in that chair.

At that exact moment, his grandfather, Arthur, frowned. He noticed the wheelchair wasn’t his usual one.

An electronic beep sounded from under its seat cushion, accompanied by a blinking red light – a sound Arthur grimly recognized.

Leo moved to guide Arthur back into the peculiar wheelchair.

“Stop!” the woman, Celeste Dubois, cried, grabbing his arm. “You’ll damage it.”

Her eyes were wide with panic. “This is a specialized medical device I personally funded for Arthur’s advanced therapy. Your interference could set back his recovery for months.”

Leo hesitated, her words planting a seed of doubt. Was he misjudging her?

Arthur clutched Leo’s sleeve, his gaze darting to the strange chair.

“Sleeping medicine,” Arthur whispered, his voice thin, “from the bad man.”

Later that evening, after Arthur was settled in his own room, Leo couldn’t shake the image of the strange wheelchair. He went to Arthur’s usual chair.

It was a standard model, nothing special. He leaned down to examine it, remembering the mysterious beep.

His fingers brushed against something unusual beneath the seat cushion. There was a small, almost invisible compartment.

Inside, folded neatly, was a legal document. It was a transfer of majority control of Arthur’s estate and all medical decisions, dated shortly after his stroke.

To Celeste Dubois.

Part 2

Leo found Celeste in the study, pretending to review papers. He held out the legal document.

“What is this?” he asked, his voice steady despite his trembling hands.

Celeste barely glanced at it.

She smiled, a calm, practiced expression.

“Oh, that,” she said.

“Just a preliminary draft for Arthur’s long-term care plan. Nothing finalized.”

She folded her hands on the desk.

“He’s getting older, Leo.”

“We need to plan for every eventuality.”

Leo felt a cold knot in his stomach. Her composure was chilling.

She picked up a pen, twirling it casually.

“You know, Arthur is so generous with you, isn’t he?”

“Helping with those substantial student loans.”

Her eyes met his, a flicker of something calculating behind the warmth.

“It would be a shame for his generosity to be… jeopardized by unnecessary distractions.”

He understood her meaning. Leo wondered how deeply Celeste’s influence extended, and if he could even afford to fight her.
