The small-town matriarch and her son tried to steal my company while I was paralyzed in the hospital, but I had a surprise waiting.
Part 1
🚨 **My Husband and His Mother Stripped Me Naked in My Hospital Room While I Was Paralyzed — But I Had a Surprise Waiting.**
I was still woozy from the C-section, the epidural fading, when my husband, Michael, walked into my hospital room. He held a bouquet of wilting daisies and offered a weak smile.
He told me he was just checking on me. A few hours later, the door swung open again.
There he stood, arm around a woman I didn’t recognize, both of them fully naked. His mother, Eleanor, followed closely behind, clutching a stack of legal papers.
They didn’t come to visit. They came to strip me of everything I had built, right when I couldn’t even stand.
I watched them, my body a leaden weight, unable to move a muscle. Michael’s mistress, Tiffany Dubois, had a smirk on her face, completely unashamed.
Eleanor Albright stepped forward, her gaze sharp as she clutched the legal papers.
“It’s time to settle things, Elara,” she announced. Her voice was cold, devoid of any warmth.
She pushed a thick stack of documents onto the bedside table, almost hitting my IV pole. They were transfer papers for Harmony Bloom Florals, my successful business.
But Eleanor didn’t stop there. She tapped another section.
“And your personal assets, of course,” she added. “Everything.”
Michael finally moved to my side, a look of false distress on his face.
“Elara, darling,” he murmured. He reached for my hand.
His touch was chilling. My mind, though my body lay helpless, suddenly replayed his earlier visits.
The weak smiles, the wilting daisies, the way he’d leaned in close, asking about my recovery, about my company. It wasn’t concern.
It was reconnaissance. And the cold, calculating glint in his eyes now confirmed my worst fears: his earlier affection had been nothing but a ploy, a twisted assessment of my vulnerability.
Part 2
Eleanor’s gaze hardened.
“The trust fund for Lily,” she stated, her voice sharp.
“Michael gets full control. You’ll be left with nothing.”
My breath hitched. They wanted to strip my daughter’s future, too.
“I won’t sign,” I managed, my voice thin.
Eleanor’s hand lashed out, a sharp crack against my cheek.
My head snapped sideways from the impact.
“Who would believe you?” she sneered.
“A paralyzed city girl, hysterical. No one in Harmony Creek would take your word.”
Michael watched, silent and complicit, completely unaware of the small red light blinking steadily on the bedside table.
