Chapter 2: C: The Dead Alarm

#content-1

👉 Previous Decision: You chose to sound the main passenger alarm in Car 6 to wake everyone.

Maya fled Car 7, the conductor’s lifeless eyes haunting her. She burst into Car 6, a sleeper compartment filled with rows of hushed berths. Her gaze swept across the wall until she found the bright red pull handle of the main passenger alarm, stark against the beige paneling.

She reached for it, her fingers closing around the cold plastic. With a desperate heave, she pulled it down.

Nothing. No blaring siren, no flashing lights. Only a soft, sad spark from where the wires connected to the switch, followed by a faint smell of burnt plastic. The lever felt loose, disconnected. Someone had tampered with it.

A sudden, sharp CRACK echoed down the carriage, not from the alarm, but from the reinforced bulkhead doors at either end of the car. With a heavy, metallic thud, they slammed shut, plunging the car into an even deeper, absolute darkness. The emergency lights flickered once, then died. Panic erupted in the hushed berths, muffled cries breaking the silence.

Maya, standing by the useless alarm, felt a wave of despair. Trapped in the dark with everyone else, the train hurtled forward, picking up speed, a silent metal beast thundering toward its unknown fate.

⚠️ BAD ENDING / GAME OVER
