👉 [Previous Decision]: You chose Option A – Strip Marcus of all family trust management powers immediately.
Aunt Evelyn cleared her throat, her gaze sweeping across the digital meeting room. “This is beyond dispute. The evidence, both physical and digital, is irrefutable. Marcus Davenport has committed fraud, embezzlement, and a profound betrayal of our family’s trust.”
Uncle Ray nodded, his expression grim. “The family council votes unanimously. Marcus is to be stripped of all family trust management powers, effective immediately.”
The words hung in the air, a final, irrevocable judgment.
Later that afternoon, Marcus, looking utterly broken, sat across from Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Ray in a sterile conference room. I was there, along with Sam and the family’s legal counsel.
“Marcus,” Aunt Evelyn said, her voice devoid of its usual warmth. “You are to surrender all properties acquired with family funds, including the Blue Ridge Mountain retreat, back to Maya and Sam. You will sign over all remaining trust management authority. And you will have no further contact with any family member.”
Marcus simply nodded, his eyes fixed on the table. He picked up the pen, his hand shaking as he signed document after document. The man who had held so much power, who had controlled so many lives, was reduced to a shell.
He stood, gathering his few personal items. He avoided my gaze completely.
“This family is done with you, Marcus,” Uncle Ray said, his voice cold.
