The Blood Clock's Toll: A Boston Watchmaker's Deadly Survival War Against His Own Brother
👉 Previous Decision: You faced Silas in the Clock Tower, demanding a trade for Maya’s safety and your memories.
Silas laughed, a hollow, bitter sound that echoed through the thunderous gear room. “Leverage? You’re a dead man walking, Julian.”
He lunged forward with unexpected speed, knocking me to the oil-stained concrete floor. The brass watch, still open in my hand, flew from my grip.
Silas snatched it, his eyes glinting with triumph. “The master override,” he gloated, pressing the biological intake valve directly against his own forearm. “And the key will be mine.”
He believed he held the ultimate leverage, that with his blood, he would absorb the digital code from the watch and reclaim his lost empire.
But Silas did not know. He did not know that ten minutes earlier, while he had been distracted by Maya’s interference with his mercenaries, she had slipped into the lower gear assembly.
Maya had executed her plan, swift and silent. She had successfully swapped the authentic blood cylinder with a dummy lead duplicate. And this decoy, meticulously crafted, was filled with Silas’s own preserved blood sample, recovered from a discarded syringe at his safehouse.
The trap was sprung. The blood, designed to fuel his ambition, was now primed to be his undoing.
Silas grunted, a flicker of confusion crossing his face as the needle pierced his skin, but it was too late. The mechanism whirred, drawing his blood into the cylinder, initiating what he thought was his victory.
