“Finch,” a familiar, dry voice said. It was Driscoll. “You’re a persistent bastard.”
My heart hammered. “You found me.”

Clear your debts, disappear, no questions asked.” His voice hardened. “Or, you can face what’s coming.”
“What’s coming?” I asked, my voice flat.
“Sheriff Halloway just issued an active felony arrest warrant for Marcus Finch. Charges include aggravated assault, destruction of property, and unlawful flight. You are now officially a fugitive, armed with dangerous intent. They’ll be there soon.”
The weight of his words settled on me. The immediate payout was a tempting offer, a clean break. But accepting it meant Jonah would be lost forever. Refusing meant a full-scale manhunt, with corrupt law enforcement hunting me down. The game had reached its apex.
