The Rag-Dressed Mother, Drenched and Ridiculed, Uncovers Her Son's Fiancee's Dark Secret
Part 1
💧 **I Was Drenched and Ridiculed at My Son’s Engagement Party by His Fiancée — But She Had No Idea Who the ‘Beggar’ Actually Was.**
I just wanted to make sure my son was marrying the right woman.
Instead, I found myself drenched and publicly ridiculed at his own engagement party, a soaking figure in borrowed rags.
No one knew who I was, or why I was there.
My son, Michael, just stood watching, his face a mask of shock as the woman he loved aimed the garden hose right at me, laughing with his guests.
I just hoped the recording in my pocket would be enough proof, because this was only the beginning of what I had to uncover.
Eleanor Beaumont, disguised in worn clothes, tried to blend into the shadows. She hoped to quietly observe Serena, Michael’s fiancée.
But Serena’s eyes landed on her. A smirk spread across Serena’s face.
“Oh, look what the cat dragged in!” Serena called out, grabbing a garden hose nearby.
She aimed it directly at Eleanor, unleashing a cold spray. Thirty guests watched in stunned silence.
Then a few began to titter.
Eleanor felt the chill, but her hand found the phone hidden in her pocket. The small red light glowed.
“Are you alright, ma’am?” a catering assistant whispered.
She tried to offer a clean towel.
Eleanor subtly shook her head, refusing the help. She just watched Michael, frozen in shock.
Would he finally see Serena’s true nature before her own identity shattered their world?
Part 2
Serena tossed the hose aside, her laughter echoing.
“Honestly, some people just have no respect,” she sneered, her voice carrying across the lawn.
“Turning up uninvited, trying to scrounge free food. This is an engagement party, not a soup kitchen.”
Her gaze swept over the guests, implying a shared disgust, then landed on Michael.
“It’s just so embarrassing,” she added, lowering her voice slightly but still audible.
“We can’t have these unworthy elements polluting our special day.”
Michael finally stirred, his eyes wide as he saw me, dripping wet.
He took a step forward, a confused frown on his face.
But Serena grabbed his arm, pulling him close.
She whispered intensely into his ear, her eyes flashing at me.
His head slowly turned back, his gaze hesitant.
I watched them, my heart pounding, wondering if Michael would believe her, or finally see me.
