My Fiancé Forced His Pregnant Maid to Abort Her Child to Save His Career — But He Didn't Know I Was a Labor Rights Lawyer Recording Everything
Part 1
💔 **My Fiancé Forced His Pregnant Maid to Abort Her Child to Save His Career — But He Didn’t Know I Was a Labor Rights Lawyer Recording Everything.**
I just walked into my fiancé Julian Croft’s penthouse, expecting to talk about wedding plans. Instead, I heard shouting from the study.
He was cornering Isabella Ruiz, his pregnant maid, waving a thick file at her. He threatened to report her for fabricated theft if she didn’t get an abortion to protect his “career-defining merger.”
My heart hammered. He never saw me standing there, phone silently recording the whole vile scene.
Later, when I confronted him, he merely smiled, his eyes cold.
“Are you quite alright, my dear? You look a little… stressed.”
My blood ran cold, but I forced my own smile, a mask I knew too well.
“Stressed? I suppose so, Julian. I just heard something… concerning.”
His gaze flickered, assessing me. “Concerning? You must be mistaken, Evelyn. Isabella can be quite dramatic.”
“Dramatic?” My voice was barely a whisper. “You were threatening her, Julian. About the baby. About a forged theft report.”
He scoffed, a dismissive wave of his hand. “Evelyn, darling, you’re imagining things. Isabella is unstable. She’s been caught pilfering small items before, I’ve simply been trying to manage the situation quietly.”
He stepped closer, his charm turning predatory. “She’s been making up stories to garner sympathy. You, of all people, should know how easily people can misinterpret things.”
My grip tightened on my phone, still warm from recording. “I think I heard it quite clearly.”
Julian’s eyes narrowed, all pretense of concern gone. “What exactly do you think you heard?”
“Everything,” I said, my voice gaining a defiant edge. “From the threats to the merger. It’s all on here.”
His face twisted. “Give me that.” He lunged, his hand snatching for my phone.
I recoiled, stumbling back, but he was faster. “You don’t understand, Evelyn,” he snarled, his fingers already closing around the device.
In that split second, a forgotten instinct from my days as a labor rights lawyer kicked in. My thumb flew across the screen. I hit the secure cloud backup, a reflex I hadn’t used in years.
His fingers clamped around the phone, twisting it from my grasp. With a sickening crunch, he slammed it against the wall, once, twice. Shards of glass flew.
“There,” he breathed, a dark satisfaction in his eyes as the screen went black, shattered beyond repair. “No evidence. Nothing but your imagination, my dear.”
He looked at me, a cruel smirk spreading across his face, completely unaware that his desperate act had come just milliseconds too late.
Part 2
“You’ve truly miscalculated, Julian,” I said, my voice steady despite the tremor in my hands. “I’m a labor rights lawyer. You just threatened a pregnant woman with fabricated charges, and I have every word.”
His cruel smirk vanished, replaced by a flicker of fear and then pure rage. The next few days were a blur of legal papers.
He leveraged his family’s influence. A temporary restraining order was slapped on me, citing “harassment.”
His PR machinery roared to life, feeding tabloids rumors that painted me as a “vindictive ex-fiancée” and “unstable.”
But I worked around it, tracking down Isabella to a women’s shelter. She huddled, terrified, refusing to meet my gaze.
Her eyes were swollen, red-rimmed. She whispered about the constant fear, the sleepless nights, and the cramping.
Isabella confessed she was experiencing concerning early complications with her pregnancy, casting a chilling shadow over their fragile hope for justice.
