Trapped in my father's secret corporate bunker, I uncovered the 1944 letter that destroyed us both.
👉 Previous Choice: You turned on your high-powered lantern, pointed it directly at the corridor, and shouted.
I clicked on my high-powered lantern. A blinding beam of light speared down the long, concrete corridor, illuminating layers of dust motes dancing in the air.
“Hello!” I yelled, my voice echoing off the grimy walls, raw and desperate. “Is anyone there? I’m trapped!”
The heavy thudding footsteps stopped abruptly. A metallic click. Then, a voice, calm and deep, cut through the silence.
“Identify yourself.”
The light from my lantern caught the glint of a polished boot. Then another. Three figures emerged from the gloom, uniformed and heavily armed. Marcus Adler, the corporate security chief, walked in front, his face a mask of cold professionalism.
“Julian Montgomery,” I stammered, raising my hands slightly, still holding the lantern. “My father’s company. I just… I got locked in.”
Adler’s lips barely moved. “Mr. Montgomery. This area is restricted. You are trespassing.”
“I can explain,” I started, but before the words were fully out, a guard moved with startling speed. He tackled me low.
My head slammed against the concrete floor. The lantern skittered away, casting erratic shadows as I struggled against the rough hands that twisted my arms behind my back. A sharp click. Handcuffs.
“Corporate espionage,” Adler said, his voice devoid of emotion as he stooped to pick up my phone and the small, unmarked flash drives I carried. “Felony trespass. We have a holding cell for such unauthorized visitors.”
He smiled then, a small, chilling upward curve of his lips. “Your father will be most… disappointed.”
