Trapped in a Mob Surgical Room with 10 Minutes to Escape His Neighbor's Deadly Trap
👉 Previous Decision: You chose to run to the Philadelphia Police Department 3rd Precinct station.
Leo burst through the swinging glass doors of the 3rd Precinct lobby, gasping for breath. Blood dripped onto the scuffed linoleum floor from the raw cuts on his abdomen. The front desk sergeant’s eyes widened, and he immediately hit an emergency button.
Within minutes, Detective Marcus Brody, a man with tired eyes and a no-nonsense demeanor, led Leo to a small, windowless interview room. Leo recounted the horrifying tale: the gurney, the timer, the stitches, the gas, and finally, the electric surge that freed him. Brody listened, scribbling notes, his face grim.
“We’ll send a team to that warehouse address immediately,” Brody said, his voice flat. “But first, let’s get you looked at.”
Before medical technicians could finish wrapping Leo’s side with sterile gauze, a man in an expensive suit strode into the lobby. Attorney Donald Kress, slick and self-assured, held a stack of legal papers. He made eye contact with Leo, a faint, chilling smile playing on his lips, before handing a document to Detective Brody.
“This is a civil court injunction,” Kress announced, his voice carrying through the quiet lobby. “My client, Pendelton Real Estate Holdings, alleges Mr. March illegally broke into a private commercial facility, causing fifty thousand dollars in damages.”
Brody’s jaw tightened, his eyes flicking from the document to Leo. “Pendelton?” he asked, his voice low. “As in Arthur Pendelton?”
Leo’s stomach dropped. Arthur Pendelton. His quiet, perfectly manicured neighbor.
