Trapped in a Mob Surgical Room with 10 Minutes to Escape His Neighbor's Deadly Trap
👉 Previous Decision: You chose to use the heavy stainless steel tray and defibrillator cell to short-circuit the door keypad.
Ignoring the morbid inscription spray-painted on the wall, Leo swung the heavy stainless steel instrument tray. He slammed it into the exposed wiring behind the door’s digital lock pad. A jolt shot up his arm, but the wires held.
He seized the defibrillator unit, its heavy casing vibrating slightly. A small 12-volt battery indicator glowed green on its side, tucked into a hidden compartment on the back. It was an external power source, specifically for the door. With a grunt, he ripped the unit free from its wall mount.
He jammed the defibrillator’s exposed leads into the mangled wires. A shower of bright blue sparks erupted, spitting and crackling across the door frame. The smell of ozone filled the air, briefly overpowering the lingering scent of rust.
The electronic solenoid latch snapped open with a loud metallic click. The door, heavy and steel, gave way.
Bleeding from the superficial cuts on his chest and abdomen, and the scrape on his arm where the defibrillator had kicked back, Leo stumbled through the doorway. Cold South Philly rain lashed down, instantly chilling his exposed skin. He gulped the fresh, clean air, his lungs burning with exertion. He was out.
