Trapped in a Night Rideshare Driven by My Father-in-Law Heading Straight to a Dark Cemetery

“Out of my way!” I roared, pushing past a startled lawyer.
My legs, fueled by a surge of adrenaline, carried me through the lobby. Security guards moved to intercept, but Garrity and his officers created a swift barrier, giving me precious seconds. I sprinted for the emergency staircase, the heavy cryo-case thudding against my hip.
Up two flights, my lungs burning, I burst onto the pediatric surgical ward. The double doors of the prep room were open.

Corporate security, armed with power tools, began to cut through the reinforced steel. Sparks flew.
But then, a new set of voices. “LAPD! Federal Marshals! Stand down!”
