My Husband and His Mistress Whipped Me 200 Times in Our Estate — They Had No Idea I Engineered the Entire Night to Expose His $48M Fraud
The interrogation room at the precinct smelled of stale coffee and desperation. Julian sat across from Agent Sarah Jenkins, flanked by his corporate attorney, David Thorne. Thorne, a man with perfectly coiffed silver hair and a suit that probably cost more than my first car, leaned forward.
“Agent Jenkins,” Thorne began, his voice smooth and condescending. “My client, Mr. Reyes, is deeply distressed by these allegations. The physical marks on Ms. Reyes, while regrettable, are a profound misunderstanding.”
Jenkins’s expression remained impassive. She simply adjusted the small digital recorder on the table between them.
“Misunderstanding, Mr. Thorne?” she asked.
“Indeed. Ms. Reyes comes from a culture with, shall we say, more traditional forms of marital discipline. Practices that might seem unorthodox to Western sensibilities, but are entirely consensual within her heritage.” Thorne gestured vaguely. “A form of—cultural submission, if you will. A private matter between a husband and wife, rooted in deep respect.”
Julian nodded stiffly, his eyes darting between Thorne and Jenkins. He caught her gaze, a flicker of his old arrogance returning. “She understands her duties,” he added, his voice hoarse but firm.
Agent Jenkins remained silent for a long moment, letting the lie hang in the air. Then, she reached for a tablet.
“We have an audio recording from the wine cellar,” she stated, her voice even. “Provided by Ms. Reyes herself.”
Julian’s face tightened. He swallowed hard.
“It contains your voice, Mr. Reyes,” Jenkins continued, “and Ms. Dupont’s. We hear a very clear discussion of what you refer to as ‘cultural submission.'”
She tapped the tablet. A hiss of static, then Julian’s voice, distorted but unmistakable, filled the room.
“*…two hundred lashes, Elena. Two hundred, and then you’ll sign these affidavits.*”
Chloe’s voice followed, colder, sharper. “*You owe Julian everything, Elena. Your green card, your name, your very existence in this country. Sign the papers.*”
The recording played for another minute, detailing Julian’s explicit demands: the fabricated financial affidavits, the threats of deportation, the deliberate infliction of pain to break my will. There was no mention of heritage, no cultural practice—only coercion and financial extortion.
Thorne’s polished facade cracked. His jaw dropped, and he stared at the tablet, his face paling. Julian, meanwhile, slammed his fist on the table, a furious growl erupting from his throat.
“That’s a fabrication!” he roared. “It’s doctored! She planted that!”
Agent Jenkins paused the recording. She looked at Julian, then at Thorne. “Mr. Reyes,” she said, her voice chillingly calm, “the metadata on this audio is pristine. It was recorded this evening, at 11:37 PM, in your wine cellar.”
She then turned her attention to Thorne. “Your client specifically tied physical violence to forcing Ms. Reyes to sign false financial documents. That’s not a cultural misunderstanding, Mr. Thorne. That’s aggravated assault and premeditated extortion.”
Thorne opened his mouth, but no words came out. The room fell silent, the weight of the undeniable truth pressing down on Julian’s collapsing defense.
